The Caldwell Adventist Elementary School will kick-off their Second Annual Coyote Dash Race on Sunday September 22, 2013. The family-friendly race will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Gem State Academy located at 16115 S. Montana Avenue, Caldwell, ID.
The race will consist of about 1.5 miles of racing through mud, obstacles, and just plain fun. Participants will have a chance to climb up a rope wall, crawl under obstacles, wallow in a pit of mud, and slip and slide to the finish line! Families can participate as a team.
“As a nonprofit organization, the Caldwell Adventist Elementary School relies on contributed income to support its programs and services,” Principal Bonny Smith said. “The Coyote Dash is a fun, family- oriented event open to the entire community. It’s healthy fun for a great cause.”
The proceeds will help fund a new playground area for the student body as well as the daycare that is operated on campus. This new equipment will provide a healthy, active, stimulating environment that will challenge, entice and provoke the creativity and imagination of the students. Fitness trails, tire swings, climbers, and a jungle gym are all on the list of possibilities for the new playground area.
